route: routine

prasine,

smaragadine,

viridiscent,

verdant,

greeny, serene, emerald,

jade - one too many words

to describe, yet

to the ones who often

take the scenic route,

to and fro, day in and out,

It's just another road

from destination A to B

and back.

and then there is us,

who refer to today,

perhaps, as just another day;

when the alarm goes off,

the coffee is served hot,

the commute is longer to work

and back.

with the lunch at the same time,

followed by tea in the evening

and some dinner before bed.

until one day uncertainty strikes -

an alarm without a snooze option;

that shakes you up and

delivers the message that

you may take the routine

for granted - until it's not.
