to frame a moment
the claim - ages old -
is that, there are two
who don't wait
no matter what.
that's time and tide,
as the cliche goes.
then there's one more
that's oft forgotten/
seldom mentioned:
the moments that
pass you by, when you're
seeing yet not looking,
while driving past
unable to pause;
or lost in thought's labyrinth
while the scene unfolds
before your eyes.
yet, a moment's capture
isn't limited to the possibility
of being at the right time
and the right place.
an ephemeral moment
turns eternal when one
pay undivided attention,
frames an impeccable composition,
clicks between blinks and breaths.
and more importantly
when that moment consents.
or, the only saving grace
that moment's tucked into
your memory's cache.
